The advent of Coronavirus pandemic has once again put on spotlight on the issues of health precautions in particularly vaccinations among the populations of Islamic countries. Having said that, lest be clear that not all Muslims are anti-vaxers or vaccine hesitant but problems continue to crop up now and then.

This featured series examines some of the key issues among Muslim communities that cause people in refusing and also delaying to get their Covid-19 jabs. We may fall into the danger with thinking that religion and fear of God, Allah or the Al Mighty produces the existing fatalistic attitudes towards the disease, as for a matter of fact also viruses are part of the creation.

The main distintive Islamic concern is much simpler as lots of believers worry that vaccinations contain pork and non halal items.
