Dear Muslim, I beg You

Dear Muslim, I beg You

I beg you to not celebrate holidays that aren’t yours

I beg you to not justify celebrating these holidays by using the Sunnah or the Quran’s words

I beg you to be more familiar with the historical events around the hijri calendar because every new Gregorian year is not yours to celebrate

I beg you to not justify celebrating Valentine’s Day because it has no spiritual link to Islam

I beg you to not use the notion of love ingrained in our religion to justify your partaking in Valentine’s Day

I beg you to explore and discover real love; the love of your Creator  ﷻ  and of His final Messenger

I beg you to avoid Easter and its events with your family. Nothing on this calendar is harmless to your faith. It goes against your tawheed foundation for one.

I beg you to not use the status of a mother in Islam to justify your celebration of Mother’s Day

I beg you to not use dawah as an excuse to take part in Halloween events

I beg you to not use the principle of gratitude in Islam to justify your celebration of Thanksgiving

I beg you not to use the concept of giving gifts in Islam to justify your participation in Christmas events

I beg you to love adherents of other faiths but to remember that to them their religion and to you, yours

I beg you because we have been told that imitating another ummah makes us of that ummah

Dear Muslim

I love you

I want you to be of the People of the Right

I want you to be of the Forerunners

That’s why, I beg you to please take heed.
