“Surprise” is a lovely children’s book with cute illustrations, written by Zaheera Jina and published by Djarabi Kitabs Publishing.
The story revolves around 3 children, Oomi, Yusuf and Isa. Oomi announces to Yusuf and Isa that there is a surprise for them while they eat supper. Isa and Yusuf guesses that the surprise maybe a new toy or an ice-cream, but Oomi replies with a no and tells them that he’ll tell after they have finished eating.
Meanwhile, they perform different household chores together and at the end, Oomi finally reveals the SURPRISE!
What I really liked about this beautiful book is that the proper brought up of children from a young age is very important which includes helping with the household chores regardless of any gender discrimination, remembering Allah while performing daily activities, taking care of personal hygiene and loving the family members unconditionally.
