Your Relationship Needs The A²

Assalamu aleikum,

A good relationship needs The A² . What is The A²? It’s short for The Avenger and The Answerer. Nerdy right? I know! So, we know Allah is both plus 97 more names masha’Allah; 100-1 like He says in the scriptures.

To get to the point, we all face these moments in our relationships where no matter what we tell our spouses it falls into deaf ears. Your heart is crushed, you cry perhaps, and maybe mop around for a few days until you move on too. Let me tell you, next time you face such a scenario think of His two names :

• Al-Muntaqim #81 (The Avenger); the real one by the way *wink* and of

• Al-Mujib #44 (The Answerer)

Why? Because they will remind you again that it is to Him you need to confide your affairs first. It is to him you need to talk to when things are good and when things are bad. When life is rosy, never fall short of saying alhamdullilah. And when things don’t go your way, implore Him too as He will avenge you and He will answer your wishes subhanallah.

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.’ (Quran 14, verse 7)

Now, I didn’t say seek vengeance. I said tell Him to do what’s best for you based on the situation and ask Him to fight for you. Then, be patient because you will come out victorious insha’Allah if it’s mubarak for you.

Why am I saying these things? Because, times and times again, we disagree with our spouses. And it’s normal. However, when it’s a good fight you believe in, don’t try to change them. Ask Allah to intervene and make you see eye-to-eye. If you have a valid point, Allah will certainly come to your rescue and lift you insha’Allah. Bi’idhnillah, each of his 99 names will fix your 99 problems and more.

May Allah protect our unions from Shaytan, the cursed one. Ameen.

May Allah bless our marriages and protect us from the evil eye. Ameen.
