Religion and Intimacy-the “tabooest” subject ever !!!

If you missed this post early this year, here is a chance to read it! :). Houb salam!

Between Sisters, SVP!

Assalamu aleikum dear sisters,

question

To each their writing genre right? Well, mine is romance with a kick: intimacy. Would you read a boring love story if there was not a kick? Probably not. Love stories are normally cheesy or cliché when there is no drama or a different flavor involved. Moreover, my stories also teach some things about Islam. My intent is to let the readers draw a moral, learn about Islam while having a good laugh and read.

So why do I feel like people view me as a weirdo? I appreciate the very few that took a chance on my writing and that were not disappointed in the story. Love this post! I think there should be more sisters like yourself letting others know to just chill when it comes to intimacy! It’s a natural thing after all, however in my culture it’s something that’s so hushed upon and if you do speak of it then your considered “rude”. Like for example, speaking of pregnancy openly is seen as a bad thing and you have no shame if you do so. Sounds crazy because becoming pregnant is blessing in a marriage I assume but in my culture it’s something that is “rude” to discuss about openly because she only pregnant because she had sex. That’s right I said the S word. I’m really rude (according to the aunties lol)

Thank you, jzk! Haha, you’re funny ;). If we keep pushing the envelope on this subject, inshaAllah, everybody will stop being so uncomfortable about it. Ty also for being a supporter of my work ^_^! It means a lot!
